Things have been a bit quiet on the twinning front just recently for obvious reasons - so it was great to get an invite to visit the St Pierre Christmas Market in December
A group of us travelled to St Pierre for the weekend and had a stall at their Christmas Market selling local produce form our area.
It was great to catch up with some familiar faces and make new friends - as ever we were warmly welcomed by our French "twins".
It was also a pleasure to meet up with Terry and Beryl Dennet - formerly of this
parish and a regular contributor to The Clarion - now resident is Charente, SW France.
We really hope that this visit will mark a fresh start to our twinning relationship with the French and there are plans for the mayor of St Pierre to visit in June.
